Ron (Goshawk) and I sit down and talk about what is happening in our country. We are saddened at what is going on. In many ways, we feel disheartened by how many Americans have flocked to vote for a man, ( not a Messiah) who has sold a bill of goods on a plate with nothing on it.

His resume sports only one real item, that of being a Community Service worker, which really meant that he worked with ACORN. And, yet, he and his fans, including the MSM, have devoured Sarah Palin in an umbrella of stench and filth, from going after her pregnant daugther, to investigating Troopergate, to her wardrobe. No time to investigate Obama with so many hot stories like that. The MSM and most journalists have let down the American people in not vetting this man who people have donned as God.

With all of those stories what gets lost is the woman who Sarah Palin really is.  The woman who was mayor and then became Governor of Alaska and a darned good one with her 80% approval rating.
The unfairness of this drives me almost to the brink.

And what I see is that Sarah Palin is the real threat to the leftist/socialist/Marxists who are terrified of a real conservative who identifies with so many people. The left is not afraid of John McCain, who is willing to work across the aisle with the democrats. But, they know meeting up with Sarah Palin could be judgment day. With her past record of going after the crooks in both parties, including her own, the crooks in Congress know their day would come if ever she were to become President.

With the help of the MSM who have been carrying his water and covering for him for almost two years, Mr. Government has managed to siphon off a huge voting block of Americans.

Do that many Americans want to take money from other hard working Americans in the "spread the wealth around" policy of Obama, the Marxist?

Have we become a nation of such selfish and envious people of those who make more money than we do to feel free to just "take" someone else's money that they worked so hard to get for them and their families?

That is exactly what both Obama and Biden are clearly stating.  They are going to just "take" money away from those who earn a good living and from corporations who generate good jobs for people and just give it to others at their discretion.

What happened to the Americans I knew when I was growing up?  Have I entered into a Twilight Zone where up is down, good is bad, wrong is right?  

I do not understand the mentality of today's Americans, if this is truly the place to which they have come, that of being willing with no guilt whatsoever to just take money from others.  We all know there have been segments of our society who have been willing to do this for many years now, those on welfare who don't want to work and live off the government, that being us. But, it has never helped anyone. Where welfare has been joined up with work programs, people have done much better and become better citizens and gain self esteem.

Now, am I to believe that more than half of America is now willing to accept what I would call welfare checks from other Americans?  Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me there are more Joe the plumbers out there than these leeches on our society.

Of course, we know that the left has been undermining our society for many years now and the ultimate victory is about to come to fruition for them.  The goal of having a Super Majority of the radical left with the most liberal, radical man to ever run for president.

Most Americans do not even know who this man, Obama, is with his past being clouded in mystery and fog, and radical alliances. Yet, these same Americans are willing to play roulette and gamble with our Republic.

We conservatives have not stood a chance for years now. We have been undermined by the left through the courts legislating form the bench. I imagine that a lot of Americans are still unaware of this. I hear that most Americans do not really pay any attention to politics or the candidates until the last couple of weeks prior to the election. That is a scary thought to me. It is hardly enough time to investigate for oneself to make an informed decision for whom to vote.

Conservatives are a minority in this country now. And, I do not want to hear about voting for 3rd party. That is merely a vote for Obama, no matter how it is rationalized. This is not the time or place in our history to play games like that.

I do not want to hear the Republicans let us down. We, the people, let ourselves down by not paying enough attention to what has been going on for years, for not fighting as we did over the amnesty bill, for just sitting back on our couches and letting things get away from us. As American Conservatives we bear responsibility in being lazy and not hounding our representatives into doing the right thing.

Now, we face a moral crisis in this country, if not a monumental change in how we operate as a government. We have been moving towards a more socialist government for quite sometime, but to move to a Marxist is more dangerous than anyone can imagine. We have no idea what Obama will really do once he is president. He has changed his story on his policies for the last 19 months. What radical leftist  policies he stated during the primaries have morphed to a "centrist" during the national debate.

Who really is Mr. Government, Mr. Obama?  Who really is the man behind the looking glass?  The man who committed himself to Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers, a Palestinian terrorist, ACORN and fraud? The man who sat in Reverend Wright's church for twenty years listening to Black Theology preached and anti Americanism? Who is the man who Farakahn supports and calls the Messiah?

We are about to enter new territory for America who has been a free nation. Yes, we have been on the road to socialism like France, but to move to a Marxist government is beyond belief.

As Ron says, I did not fight Communism in Korea to have my own country turn to Communism one day. Some Americans are on the brink of making a deal with the devil and we as a country will never be the same again. I see all kinds of methods of how we can change this by all kinds of people on TH, but not a one of the suggestions seems viable, other than civil war at some point.  I am not advocating that by no means, but I wonder just how we are going to change the tide of the onslaught if indeed Mr. Government turns out to be an alias of Mr. Chavez, Mr. Castro,  Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, take your pick.  

Gambling with our Republic is not worth the chance to me. From what I see on TH with various others commenting, they feel the same.  But is it too late now and what will we do then?
